Truly enjoyed hearing a bit of your family history. The lives of people fascinate me, simply because of the things humans are capable of doing. Thank you so much for sharing this fascinating story.
I grew up with A Man With A Hat in our front hallway in FL in the 60s. It was passed down to me, but was damaged in a recent move - to the Berkshires, as it happens. I hope my husband can try to repair it - if you have any suggestions, they would be most welcome! It is cracked at the waist and has a largish chunk that is gone. =(
A beautiful story. I am an artist and a skeptic, so I was happily surprised to see art here. "Two Profiles" is an exquisite sculpture.
Great piece of history. Oppression vs. true Freedom. Magnificent art and survival.
Wow. Dr Shermer's story was touching and inspiring.

Touched my heart. I also realise where Dr Shermer gets his often, out of the box thinking from. He comes from a line of talented women !!!
Great story.
I love the sculptures
